Le Cardinal Micara (1874-1965), prélat du pape à Bruxelles. 'Lors de sa création, directement après la Première Guerre mondiale, la rue est dédiée au cardinal Mercier. La Ville de Bruxelles demande à Auderghem de changer l'odonyme car elle désire créer une rue Cardinal Mercier dans le centre-ville. Notre rue devient dès lors (le 29 mai 1926) rue Cardinal Micara du nom du nonce apostolique à Bruxelles. Le 30 juin 1950 la rue devient une avenue.' (remark in French, as published)
