L'armet est une armure de tête utilisée aux Xve et XVIe siècle. Cela peut aussi faire référence aux ancres et ammares d'un bateau. Au vu de la localisation de la rue, il semblerait que le quartier fasse référence à l'armée. Ce qui nous pousse à penser qu'il s'agit bien ici de l'armure de tête et non des amarres d'un bateau.
