Etienne Demunter (1898-1986), militant socialiste qui s'impliqua dès 1939 dans l'administration de la commune de Jette tout en jouant un rôle dans la résistance armée durant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Il fut le premier bourgmestre socialiste de Jette entre 1953 et 1958, et mit en place une politique de construction de logements sociaux. (remark in French, as published)
