Ce petit fort servit de repaire à un aventurier nommé Jacques Pasteur. Fils de garde forestier, il devint général : l'avenue Jacques Pastur rappelle ce personnage. C'est ainsi que le lieu fut appelé le Fort de 'Jaco'. (remark in French, as published)
