Emile Bossaert (1854-1920) a été bourgmestre de la commune entre 1912 et 1920. Il a également été l'un des trois fondateurs de l'entreprise Victoria qui, implantée à Koekelberg, fabriquait des biscuits et du chocolat jusque dans les années 1980. Avant 1913, avenue de la Renaissance (1880). A cheval sur la commune de Ganshoren où l'avenue de la Renaissance devient l'avenue Jacques Sermon, soldat décédé le 8/9/1914 (remark in French, as published)
