Du nom d'un champ où finissait le Frondroy, entre le Glatbeke et Linkebeek. Henri de Grols fut maire d'Uccle, amman de Bruxelles en 1247 et échevin d'Uccle en 1266. Le toponyme fait référence aux champs de Grols. (remark in French, as published)
