Guillaume Crock (1883-1918) fut soldat pendant la Grande Guerre et y laissa sa vie. Il vivait dans la commune avec son épouse et ses enfants, et était plombier. Il décéda des suites de ses blessures dans un hôpital à Adinkerke, alors que les prémisses de l'Armistice étaient en cours. (remark in French, as published)
