Deux significations : 1.Le mot kellevelt (avec un 'k') est cité dès 1550 et signifierait un champ (velt) proche d'un conduit amenant l'eau à la roue d'un moulin (kel). La seconde signification parle plutôt de 'hel veld' = champ clair. Il s'agit en tout cas d'une référence au Cortenboschmolen ou Moulin Granville démoli vers 1960. En 1939, cette avenue aurait dû être rebaptisée de cet ancien nom, Kellevelt, mais les habitants s'y opposèrent. (remark in French, as published)
