Jean Dubrucq (XIXe siècle) était un entrepreneur, mécène et politicien de cette partie de Bruxelles. Il a fondé le site industriel Manchester et s'est spécialisé dans la fonderie pour les balances. Il a également été conseiller communal de Molenbeek pendant de nombreuses années. Entre 1921 et 1935, les usines Jean Buchenwald étaient installées dans cette rue. (remark in French, as published)
