Joseph Jean Gossiaux (1910-1942) fut résistant communiste et anti nazi lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Auderghemois, il était postier et empêchait notamment la bonne expédition de lettres dénonçant des compatriotes. Il distribuait aussi des pamphlets et exécutait des sabotages. En 1941, il fut arrêté et condamné à 7 années de travaux forcés. Déporté à Dachau où il est mort en 1942. (remark in French, as published)
