Jules Bordet (1870-1961) fut docteur en médecine à l'Université libre de Bruxelles et se démarqua tout au long de sa carrière par ses travaux sur l'immunité, les maladies infectieuses et le développement de vaccin. Un institut médical porte aujourd'hui son nom et est spécialisé dans la lutte contre le cancer. (remark in French, as published)
