Louis Bertrand (1856-1943) est un ouvrier qui a fait carrière en politique. En 1885, il est l'un des fondateurs du Parti Ouvrier belge et du journal Le Peuple. Il sera conseiller communal et échevin à Schaerbeek, ainsi que député puis Ministre d'Etat. Il est également l'un des fondateurs du Foyer Schaerbeekois. (remark in French, as published)
