L'argilière est un lieu où il est possible d'extraire de l'argile du sol en grande quantité. Ce clos se situe à proximité du Clos de la Glaisière et de l'Avenue du Four à Briques. Etant donné que l'argile est utilisé dans la fabrication des briques, il semblerait que le nom soit en lien avec les briquetiers installés près du cimetière de Bruxelles.
