En néerlandais, la Grand Place est traduite par Grand Marché, en référence au marché qui a pris place en ce lieu et qui constitua les premiers développement de la future ville. 'Grote Merkt' serait donc classé plutôt dans 'Commerce et artisanat'. (remark in French, as published)
