Auguste Orts (1814-1880) est un échevin qui s'est lancé en politique. Faisant partie d'une famille noble de Bruxelles, il fera ses études à l'Université de Liège, puis sera professeur de Droit à l'ULB. Il défendra avec ardeur le libre-examen. Il sera également échevin de Jules Anspach à Bruxelles. Il reçut le titre de Ministre d'État. (remark in French, as published)
