La rue de Cologne avait été débaptisée après la Première Guerre mondiale pour s'appeler la rue d'Aerschot, en hommage à la ville qui a été victime d'un massacre. Mais la rue d'Aerschot a accueilli de nombreux établissements de prostitution. Sur une partie de la rue d'Aerschot sans établissements de prostitutions, les habitants ont demandé à ce que la rue reprenne le nom de rue de Cologne, ce que la commune de Schaerbeek et la CRDT ont approuvé. Le changement a été opérationnel le 01 janvier 2020. (remark in French, as published)
