François-Laurent Deneck (?-?) fut bourgmestre de la commune entre 1830 et 1853. Cependant, ce n'est qu'en 1841 que la commune de Koekelberg en tant que telle existera, car auparavant, elle était fusionnée avec l'actuelle commune de Berchem-Sainte-Agathe. C'est donc François De Neck qui fut à l'origine de cette scission. C'est dans cette rue que Emile Bossaert a co-fondé l'entreprise de biscuit et de chocolat Victoria, et que l'actuel Belgian Chocolate Village s'est installé. (remark in French, as published)
