'L’artère est ouverte vers 1905, parallèlement au percement du boulevard Émile Bockstael, en vertu de l’arrêté royal du 05.10.1900. Elle est initialement baptisée rue Lefèvre, avant d’être renommée Dieudonné Lefèvre par arrêté du Collège de la Commune de Laeken du 16.05.1911, en hommage à un industriel qui fut échevin à Laeken, où il décéda en 1893.'
