En référence à un ancien moulin à papier qui était situé là. A cet endroit, passait le cours d'eau de la Woluwe. Le moulin a papier était bien un moulin à eau. On y fabriqua du papier jusqu'en 1836, où il servit de teinturerie de coton, puis en 1894 de fabrication de produits septiques à base de coton, une industrie réputée pour ses 'pollutions' et désagréments. Il semblerait que les ruines du moulin furent détruites lors de la Première Guerre mondiale. (remark in French, as published)
