'La rue a été ouverte vers 1965, tout comme les rues Eugène Toussaint, Gaston Biernaux, Abbé Paul Le Roux et Abbé Victor de Sloover, créant ainsi quatre nouveaux ilots dans une zone auparavant constituée de prairies et de terres agricoles.
