Le baron André-Edouard Jolly (fin du XVIIIe-1883) est un militaire. Après avoir, une première fois, démissionné de son poste dans l'armée hollandaise pour assouvir sa passion pour la peinture, il réintégra les affaires lors de la Révolution de 1830 en rejoignant les rangs des insurgés belges. Il occupa dès lors de nombreux postes importants pour la construction de la Belgique : formation de la Commission administrative, direction du comité de la guerre, organisation du ministère de la Guerre mais également, négociations de la délimitations des frontières avec les Pays-Bas.
