Paul-Émile Janson (1872-1944) était avocat, parlementaire et sénateur. Il fut également Ministre de la Justice. Lorsque la Seconde Guerre mondiale se déclenche, il s'exile à Nice et décide d'y rester malgré le déplacement des gouvernements à Londres. En 1943 les Allemands occupèrent la ville et l'envoyèrent à Buchenwald où il décéda. ex. rue de Turin. (remark in French, as published)
