Anciennement 'Roweg', deux hypothèses coexistent pour la traduction de ce toponyme. La première pense qu'il s'agit de la Rue de Rode. La seconde hypothèse pense que rode signifierait un champ défriché, et qu'il faudrait donc plutôt la traduire comme 'Rue du Sart'. (remark in French, as published)
