Le nom de la rue Saint-Martin est issue de la présence sur les lieux d'un faubourg du même nom. Les rues de ce faubourg furent construites par deux propriétaires portant le même prénom : Martin. On donna le nom Saint-Martin à la rue en leur honneur. (remark in French, as published)
