'Ouverte par l’arrêté royal du 05.10.1900 et pavée en 1901-1902, la rue est dénommée en hommage à Antoinette Van Gulick, une Néerlandaise qui avait légué par testament du 12.08.1872 à l’Administration des Hospices de Laeken la somme de 125.000 francs avec obligation d’ériger un hospice pour vieillards, un orphelinat ou un refuge, institution qui ne vit toutefois jamais le jour.'
