'C'est avant 1957 qu'il reçoit sa dénomination, en référence à la méthode Prévost-Delaunay en sténographie, élaborée au cours du XIXe siècle par l'inventeur Jean-Michel Prévost et son élève Albert Delaunay.' Urban 'Né à Toulouse (France) en 1808, décédé à Paris (France) en 1873. Jean-Michel Prévost, inventeur français, conçut une méthode de sténographie en 1827.
