Robert Goldschmidt (1877-1935) était passionné par l'automobile, les hydroglisseurs et la télégraphie sans fils. En 1908, il invente avec Ernest Solvay, un dirigeable. Plus tard, il créera également des lignes radiophoniques au Congo belge.
