Jean-Jules Eggericx (1884-1963) s'était réfugié en Angleterre durant la Première Guerre mondiale et y apprit le concept de cité-jardin. Il est à l'origine de la construction de cette cité-jardin, tout comme des cités-jardins Le Logis et Floréal situés à Boitsfort. (remark in French, as published)
