Le général Aloïs Biebuyck (1860-1944) s'est particulièrement démarqué lors de la Première Guerre mondiale. Il reçut de très nombreux prix, médailles et mérites de la part de la Belgique, mais aussi de la France et des Etats-Unis. Il était entre autres membre de l'Ordre de Léopold.
