Gustave Jean Leclercq (1890-1915) fut soldat. Il travaillait dans les tramways bruxellois et vivait dans la commune avec sa récente épouse et leur jeune fils de un an. Il fut incorporé, et mourut quelques jours après la naissance de sa fille qu'il n'a pas connu en Flandre Occidentale. (remark in French, as published)
