Nestor Martin était un industriel. Il construisit une usine de cuisinières et de poêles en 1930 à Ganshoren, qui acquit une renommée internationale. L'usine de Nestor Martin à Ganshoren regroupait tous les différents ateliers nécessaires, et employait près de 1000 personnes. D'autres usines ont été crées dans toute la Wallonie.
