Il s'agit certainement d'une référence à Charles VI empereur du Saint-Empire romain germanique, et non à Charles VI roi de France. Charles III des Habsbourg (1685-1740) connu sous le nom de Charles VI dans les Pays-Bas de l'époque est le premier souverain que nos régions connurent lorsqu'elles passèrent chez les Hasbourgs autrichiens (en 1713). Il restera souverain des Pays-Bas autrichiens jusqu'à sa mort en 1740 où il sera succédé par Marie-Thérèse. ex. rue Neuve. (remark in French, as published)
